For more than 25 years, Hortec has provided horticultural automation solutions to UK Growers, acquiring an enviable reputation in the process. The central base in Warwickshire is home to an experienced team who are dedicated to providing the very best service, support and technical knowledge.
ABOUT HORTEC
From Hortec’s inception in the 1990s with Ian and Mary Thornhill, who operated as the sole UK agents for Javo Machinery, it remains a business operated by a team of industrious employees. Ian and Mary were looking to retire in 2021, so Ben Murphy and Steve Dunn took the opportunity to take on the business with a view to continue its growth.
Ben and Steve met at university and have both been working within the agriculture industry ever since. In 2018, Steve joined the team at Hortec and persuaded Ben to join him shortly after, with Ben making the move in 2020.
Even with new owners, the end goal remains the same, Helping you Grow, Grow with Technology.
